PRO TIP: Set Up a Dropbox Folder Before You Start Your Web Design Project
We have a lot of experience building websites. One of the very first things we do as a project kicks off is set up a Dropbox folder and then invite everyone to use that folder.
High resolution files like Logos and high resolution photos take by a professional photographer are massive. Email is not meant to handle files of that size.
Plus, you don’t want to be going back sorting through emails looking for a photo you think you remember seeing or sending.
Before we start a website design project, we immediately set up a dropbox folder for that project so clients can upload files directly to dropbox.
If you are a web agency, it is also really nice to have everything in one spot where you can draw from, resize images in dropbox, etc.
But even if you are designing a website for yourself, create a folder where everything goes, separate those folders by name, and then name the files separately so when you are looking a a hundred images, you don’t have to keep going through them one at a time because the thumbnails are too small to see and they are named in a way that doesn’t help you sort through them.
